Mormon Wellness Project: 025: Addiction 101: Reclaiming our Bodies: Dan Wotherspoon Unplugged

My interview with  Dan Wotherspoon of the Mormon Matters Podcast, unplugged and like you’ve never heard him before!  Dan talks about facing the possibility of  losing his eyesight due to Type II diabetes and  how this prompted him to reintegrate with his body. The focus is not on the weight loss itself but his journey of Mind, Body and Spirit. This begins my series of podcasts looking at addictions from every angle and will culminate with my reflections on sexual addiction and Joseph Smith.

This podcast is not intended to induce shame for anyone.  This podcast is not meant to endorse any particular weight loss method or organization. Please consult your doctor before beginning any weight loss program.

  1. “You’re life is worth saving…” – This is got to be one of the biggest understatements I’ve heard.

I think Dan has got to be the ultimate champion of the middle way. At the very least he is up there with Patrick Mason, Randal Bowen, many others: Terryl Givens, Richard Bushman, Adam Miller, and countless others.

I kind of wish Bill was still in that place, but understand his need to step out of the lime light for a period. I kind of think John Dehlin is sort of warming up to the middle road. Perhaps I’m mistaken. But Dan’s efforts with Mormon Matters are huge.

    Take care big guy!!
