In Episode 3 The Author of Mark in Mark 1:7-8 seems to be taking one last chance to prepare us for Jesus. John the Baptist makes it clear that this Jesus who is about to enter the scene in only a verse or two is going to take us places that John simply can not. We spend time asking if we are ready to leave our comfortable spaces and the ground we built our house on and if we are prepared to move to where Jesus wants to take us.
This Podcast utilizes the New Living Translation to take advantage of its contemporary language if for no other reason. Some times the purpose of my comment is just to leave a note to myself that I heard the episode. I honestly didn’t find much new for me here Bill. I suppose the basics and repetition is needed for learning right?
