Almost Awakened: 001: What Is Almost Awakened

What is the “Almost Awakened Podcast” you ask? Well imagine an intelligent beautiful lesbian and a equally intelligent but nerdy heterosexual male who have become best friends as they have leaned into vulnerability & authenticity with each other and their community. They have spent a ton of time diving into human development, human behavior, having deconstructed unhealthy systems and communities and what they have learned from that. As they have built with others, a vibrant healthy community where Authenticity and vulnerability matter, they want to share with you what they have learned, point you to good books, provide you with the tools and resources to help you awaken, and share with you their experiences in doing shadow work and recognizing ego and working to reduce unhealthiness in our lives. Today in episode #1 they introduce the podcast. the Book discussed in today’s episode was “Already Free: Buddhism Meets Psychotherapy on the Path of Liberation” by: Bruce Tift

  1. Thank you for a really refreshing podcast I
Now that Bill is out of the church I can see a real sense of freedom and a big change in him I am very interested in your podcast and I am definitely sharing it with my own daughter who has also left the church but still struggling with some of her thinking I’m going to check out the book it sounds really good

I get what you’re saying when you talk about the after affects of The way we were taught to think for so many years. it’s wonderful to hear your excitement about life and your openness to learning I love it

  2. I’m hoping sooner rather than later if you can address depression. Not for myself but for a child member. I can I help them awaken to the beauty of life and the dynamics within our heads. How do you bring someone to listen to podcasts or youtube videos, read books, to enlighten their minds to these realities.

I’m guessing once I figure this out I should be telling you and not the other way around. Cheers, this is a great topic. It’s almost akin to Mormon Awakenings.
