This message seems to turn things on it’s head. Going with the flow typically has a bad reputation, and suddenly asking God if that would be a better solution seems interesting.
But it’s a good reminder to challenge are preconceived notions… maybe something that we thought is bad can actually be Good. I never thought the flow represented God’s choice, but rather that of the general population. Never go with the flow is typically the advice received and that represents a lot of hard work which usually lands you going no where.
A very interesting take on the two choices. We all face these choices in everyday life. I don’t know what is right for anyone else, but when I recognized that God was lining things up for me, for me to receive wonderful blessings — well it changed my life.
I’ve never been “hard-driven”, but I have owned a successful small business which was when I started noticing patterns of being provided for and taken care of. Things I couldn’t have anticipated — flowed gently into my life. One of my workers told me that I lived in abundance, which thing I had never considered. I doubt that I had ever used that word before, but she was right.
My older sister paddles very strenuously upstream. Maybe it has something to do with being the first-born. She struggles to conquer whatever she is involved in. She seems to like a good fight.
To each their own. She probably thinks I’m weird. I probably am. But I feel well taken care of, and enjoy blissful moments each day.
Which path is correct? The one that fits you best.
