Life’s a gamble, according to Bruce R. McConkie that was an unfair proposition. Life had to be the result of how you lived your premortal life. Which in a way is sort of Oriental thinking (if you previous life you were good you would resurrect richer in the next life if it was worse you would be some animal or worse insect.
But somehow we disavowed this notion and replaced it with nothing. So life is a gamble and our options as well. I guess we can always choose to have the right attitude about it all and just say the hell with it. “It’s my life!!! And it’s now or never, I ain’t going to live forever…”

It’s so good to have you back. As always your Eastern philosophy through a Mormon lens was insightful. Both my wife and I have painful things to go through today and hopefully we can just tromp through the cow pies.
