Ahhh, group think, something to be aware of. Most of us are naturally oblivious to the dominant narrative. I think people probably categorize me as somewhat eccentric and outside the norm.
Fortunately our Zoom testimony meetings were still impromptu and most people were grateful for the opportunity to keep working from home. Overall there’s a good spirit in our ward.
People tend to respect my non-dominant perspectives, many which I bring and gather from Mormon Discussions Podcast.
An Anglican minister once told me that we are not meant to worship Christ as individuals but as part of the body of Christ or Church. This is why it was important to be active in the church community. Perhaps, I misinterpreted what he meant, but it seemed that the group was more important than the individual… perhaps his point was to have both. Meaning that we develop personal relationships with Christ, but not in isolation. We are all to help contribute to what the dominant narrative ought to be instead of letting it run amok.
