Emancipate Your Mind: 024: The Importance of Sharing Our Stories with Public Speaker, Terina Maldonado

  • by

When we share our stories with those who have earned the right to hear them, we not only help ourselves become more shame resilient, we make safer spaces for others to share their own stories.

When people are shame resilient, they are better able to be authentic, to have compassion for themselves and others, to learn from their mistakes, and to be accountable for the harm they may have accidentally inflicted on someone else.

Terina Maldonado, dynamic and compelling public speaker, author, and life coach, and I talk about how transformative the simple act of sharing our stories can be not only on our own quality of life but in making the world a safer, kinder place for all of us.

TRIGGER WARNING: This episode contains mentions of religious trauma as well as sexual abuse and childhood grooming.
