CINDY WOLF and TAMARA ALAMAN We start our podcast series out with a peek into the lives of two incredible women. Both of these ladies are mothers to children with severe disabilities. Their lives were transformed overnight and sent on a path not of their own intention. Cindy describes the shock of having 3 children with multiple disabilities, the last two being diagnosed with a genetic disorder that went unchecked. When her youngest baby was 4.5 months old her husband unexpectedly died, leaving her alone to care for her children. Listen as Cindy tells her story of three successful adult children and being diagnosed herself with heart failure! Tamara was also on her life path of a career and the excitement of her first baby. She went into labor at 25 weeks. Her baby girl suffered brain damage from her premature birth. In spite of the hydrocephalus, which is a build-up of fluid in the cavities deep within the brain, she saw progress in her babies growth. At about 6 months, her baby began having seizures and all progress stopped. She now has a one year old and a busy life with two little girls. These strong women will encourage you to listen to your instincts and demand your needs be fulfilled, no matter!
